Owning a firearm is like owning a pet. It is not your child, but it needs to be fed, requires regular exercise and you are responsible for it. Active Crisis Consulting (ACC) has been providing guidance on the security and firearms training in our communities, that caters specifically to new gun owners. ACC provides firearms safety and shooting courses ranging from one day, to annual or even multi-year training contracts. Additionally, ACC instructs interactive online courses on personal security and protective (family) services.

State laws are always evolving with the ebbs and flows of the political agendas. You may have purchased a firearm that was made unlawful under State law without your knowledge. Google research cannot guarantee that you are in lawful possession of a firearm according to your State law.
What are the laws in your State pertaining to self-defense and the use of deadly force?
The term “castle doctrine” is thrown about casually but what does that really mean and how does it apply to you? You need to know if your State has a castle doctrine and how it effects your rights are if you are assaulted in your home or in public. As we have recently seen, people that commit acts of violence or destruction of property are not always prosecuted. If you live in a State where the prosecution of criminals has been politicized, then you need to determine what your rights are as an armed citizen.

A firearm is a simple machine that can and will subject you to bodily injury if not used with caution and confidence. Educate yourself on your firearm. There are a myriad of trainers that you can contract. Some are better than others. One of the biggest obstacles to training is finding the right instructional environment and a trainer with the right credentials and a good reputation. Regardless, do your research and get training.

ACC is staffed with former Marines and former special agents from Diplomatic Security Service and the Bureau of ATF. We provide training at the Active Crisis Consulting Training and Instructional Facility which is a state-of-the-art outdoor range located less than two hours from downtown Washington DC. This facility is also conveniently located within 70 miles of Dulles International Airport.
The Active Crisis Consulting Dynamic Training and Instructional Facilityis a comprehensive 350-acre outdoor shooting facility with 8 ranges, an outdoor live fire training house and off-road vehicle driving course for vehicular training. We cater to all levels of training and even offer the ability to travel to your location to provide training for those who are unable to travel to us.
The ACC training facility allows the use of all types of small arms without restrictions on rate of fire or movement. If you do not yet own a firearm and want to shoot before making a purchase, we offer a wide variety of options for evaluation. Our facility is also offered on a rental basis to agencies, instructors and organizations looking for a place to train.
